Watch Around Water Supervision Policies
Mount Barker Mountain Pool is a Watch Around Water Registered Facility.Supervision policies have been developed based on national and international best practise standards and legislative requirements.
Children under 5 years of age must be accompanied into the centre by a responsible adult and supervised within arm’s reach at all times. This is must efficient when you are swimming and engaging with your child, e.g playing, talking and touching.
Children under 10 years of age must be accompanied into the centre by a responsible adult and supervised within the line of sight at all times.
There are many distractions and mobile phones are one of the biggest, we encourage our patrons to make a conscious to put their phones away while in the facility.
Please note that all unsupervised children will be removed from the water and will not be allowed to resume swimming until a supervising parent or adult is present.
Children under 14 years are not allowed entry unless under active supervision of a person 16 years or older
